Christian Sieber, commander of the Patrouille des Glaciers, who led the 2024 edition of the iconic military and popular race, officially handed over the PdG flag to his successor, Brigadier Yves Charrière, this Tuesday in Saint-Maurice (VS). As announced by the DDPS in a press release on May 21, the 57-year-old from Vaud, who is also the mayor of Aubonne, assumed his role as commander of the Patrouille des Glaciers on June 1. The flag handover ceremony took place in the presence of Divisionnaire Raynald Droz, whom Yves Charrière will support in his new duties.
The next Patrouille des Glaciers will take place from April 13 to 19, 2026. Registration will be open from September 1 to 30, 2025.
