ZERMATT-VERBIER route

The Grande Patrouille runs from ZERMATT to VERBIER via AROLLA

The Patrouille des Glaciers (PdG) Z route, also known as the Grande Patrouille, takes competitors from ZERMATT to VERBIER, via AROLLA. It is a veritable demonstration of strength for the participating teams.

The start comes to life in front of Zermatt’s station under still starry skies or at dawn. The Bahnhofplatz and Bahnhofstrasse become unique stages, offering captivating entertainment for spectators at the start of the various categories. A cosmopolitan convergence of civilian and military patrols come together for this challenge, before setting off on the route from Zermatt to Furi, Ober Stafel, Schönbiel, Stockji, Tête Blanche, Col de Bertol, Plan Bertol, Arolla, Col de Riedmatten, Pas du Chat, La Barma, Rosablanche, Col de Momin, Col de la Chaux and Les Ruinettes before arriving in Verbier.
