Preparation

In order to be ready for the opening of registrations for the 2024 edition of the Patrouille des Glaciers, participants must collect the information relevant to the four patrollers, carefully read the rules and the patroller’s guide, prepare all the necessary documents and certificates (if requested) and ensure that the registration fee is paid by 06.10.2023 at the latest so that the patrol’s application for registration can be approved.

Checking and verification

In the phase following the closing of registrations, data such as the service record book for military categories or the UIAGM diploma for certified mountain guides will be checked. After verification, it will be possible to change categories from P1 and P3 to P4.

Draw

In the event of a large number of entries, a draw will be held for the P4 category. An e-mail announcement will be sent to patrollers from the end of November 2023, informing them of the notice of participation and the date and time of departure in the event of a positive decision. Patrols that have not been selected for the PdG 2024 will receive a negative notice. This decision will be final.

Transfer and withdrawal

Patrols may withdraw their registration until 29.02.2024, for whatever reason, by sending a registered letter to the PdG Command, Rue du Catogne 7, CH-1890 St-Maurice. In this case, the CHF 400 refund will be made after the 2024 edition of the PdG.

Patrollers may announce any changes within the patrol until 24.03.2024 on the timekeeper’s IT platform (MSO), determining the order within the patrol at the same time. If no change is announced, the first patroller will be the designated patrol leader and the fourth patroller will not take part in the event. Changes made after this date will not be taken into account.
